A new Season of From The Wild

Updated: Jun 14, 2023

It is a special day when Kevin comes out with his trailers. I love watching them.

In and of themselves, works of art. Always.

His latest season trailer is near the bottom of this post. Please share with friends who would like this content. There are links to Kevin's show and where to see it below as well.

Happy Hour. Kevin making my favourite cocktail, the Sidecar, in the grasslands cabin last fall.

Season Nine of Kevin's show.

Wow...it is difficult to process how fast the years seem to have gone by. On the other hand, it also seems an eternity ago that Kevin, Jeff, and I feasted and lounged on the shores of that Swedish lake in season two.

I am starting to struggle to keep up with these experiences we make for ourselves. To keep them organized in my mind in terms of how many years ago they actually occurred. I think that eventually, they will morph into one big memory of special times with folks that I've called my friends.

"Those memorable moments when the day's events are relived, with laughter, over the tink of ice in a cocktail glass, and the crunching of potato chips."

Thinking back on this past year, season nine of From The Wild, I tend to remember the spaces we occupied while on our adventures. For whatever reason, that seems always to be the first thing that comes to my mind when I reminisce about past trips. The people are there with me too. Without them, I would be lonely, and all of those same magical places would be a little more forgettable. There were big fish and a big buck for me this year, and they too occupy a special place in my mind, and in the photography on the various platforms where I share.

However, you will also see the photographs of the tents, campsites, and cabins where we stay. These spaces play huge roles in the successes we experience in the wild.

They are where we sleep and eat, and they are where all of the 'Happy Hours' occur. Those memorable moments when the day's events are relived, usually in the candlelight, and always with laughter, over the tink of ice in a cocktail glass, and the crunching of potato chips.

Enjoy the trailer!
